I cant seem to get this to work. I used a hex editor to change wad directory but no luck. What am i doing wrong?

Um first off whats a hex editor? secondly the only thing you'd need to do is replace the current prboom.wad with the prboom.wad found on this thread.

OK, it works with all my wads except the the original dsdoom! (doom1) What i really want is to have the double barrel shot gun, is there some mod for this?

It was designed that way. While talking with Alexander we thought it would be a good idea to have a machinegun it would take up less sprite slots and we'd be able to do more for the wad.

Thats pretty much Impossible to do unless you modify the original doom1 levels and place the ssg in the maps. But by doing that you won't be able to select the SSG it would just be a pick up and keep. If you deselected the SSG you'd never be able to use it again. Although I am making a doom1 remake for doom2 Knee Deep in DsDoom. Although it requires doom2 to play the wad (since the maps are asigned to doom2 slots) If you don't have doom2 you can always download freedoom (which is a free Iwad)
