Post you're feature requests here.
Explanation: Currently it is impossible to switch back to fists once you have the chainsaw without picking up a berserk pack. Also, manually switching weapons is tedious and time-consuming in the heat of battle.
2.) If you have autorun enabled, the run button should make you walk.
Explanation: Currently you run all the time and it is impossible to walk if autorun is enabled.
3.) Bugfixes...like in E4M9: Fear (the secret level of Thy Flesh Consumed) when you hit the exit level switch DSDoom crashes, making it impossible to progress in the game.
We are curently looking into 1.)
Although 2.) you can just go to key bindings set the autorun key then go to quit game (so that it saves the controls) and thats it.
number 3.) is already complete.
1) WAD (IWAD & PWAD) selector
2) Game more fast (more fludty)
3) No bug save / load
4) Music (But I know that it is very hard to put some music, it's not a first problem)
5) The option "QUIT GAME" which sends back to us directly in the menu of selection of the WAD
6) Better icon
Good luck for your project ! ![]()
1 - touch screen aiming
2 - touch screen wepon select
3 - WAD selector
4 - quit game option - take u back to ds main menu or somthing
5 - choice to remove mini map and bind to a key to bring it up
thanks for listing!!
Madmax, the Iwad selector and No bug saves / loads are already implemented in v1.1.3.
Although I like the idea of quiting the game and having it go back to the wad loading menu. Zinnka we're looking into touch screen controls and weapon selecting.
Okay, thanks for your answer, and good luck for the next !
Thanks for your support!
I have got a new idéa :
Compatibility for orginal WAD : HEXEN.wad, HEXDD.wad, HERETIC.wad, STRFE.wad and CHEX3.wad. ![]()
HEXEN.wad = Hexen : Beyond Heretic
HEXDD.wad = Hexen : DeathKings of the Dark Citadel
HERETIC.wad = Heretic : Shadow of the Serpent Riders
STRIFE.wad = Strife : Quest of the Sigil
CHEX3.wad = Chex Quest 3
(there are Chex Quest 1, 2, and 3 in the Chex Quest 3)
There are a commercial WAD.![]()
Do you can make a compatibility for ALL .wad ? For example put the WAD of ZDOOM on DOOM DS ?
It's my question. ![]()

I don't think full zdoom compatibility will ever happen.. We might be able to add part of hexen's map code in there but nothing is for sure yet. We'd like to get the prboom glitches fixed first.
OK, and for :

Do you can make a compatibility for this WAD ? ![]()
Those are all rather large requests. Strife especially has no known source code release and therefore would be very difficult and immensely time-consuming to get operational, especially on DS (where memory is much more limited). CHEX1, 2, and 3 are all perfectly compatible already.
Heretic, Hexen, and HexDD are much more likely because they're already ported to DS; if they have source released I'll be looking into supporting them in Forge. Hexen support I've considered for a while since I was probably going to include Hexen format map support for Forge anyway.
Cool ! ![]()
Chex Quest is already compatible ? That great ! For STRIFE, it's not a first problem. ![]()
For compatibility for Hexen, Hexdd and Heretic in DS DOOM, I think it's a good idéa. ![]()
The homebrew HEXEN DS is not a very good project, because we can't save and the game it's very slow. ![]()
Good luck for you're project ! ![]()
Will there be some music in the version 1.1.3 ? [image]

Can you answer me? Will there be some music? ![]()
No, there won't be any.
Yeah, the chances of there being music in the next version is relatively low. I was considering at one point using an OGG or MP3 decoder scheme, but the DS requires sound data to be loaded in a raw format uncompressed, and that takes a TON of CPU and RAM resources and the DS cannot read MIDI data in any useful way. I'm not necessarily saying no, but definitely don't count on it.
